For those of you who have been using traffic exchanges for years these tips will come as no suprise. They are aimed at people who are totaly new to marketing or new to the world of Traffic Exchanges (TE's).
So you have your Team Atlantis rotator code, now what do you do with it?!
There are litterally thousands of TE's out there and in general I would say look around and try a few to see what you do and do not like about them. The purpose of a TE is to get your site/offer in front of other peoples eyes. You achieve this by surfing - that is looking at other peoples offers/sites. Now one of two things is likely to happen to you at first :
1. You read every offer and find yourself signed up to all sorts of schemes.
2. You ignore everything and just blindly surf the exchange.
Neither of these two outcomes is really what you are after, you should try to seek a middle ground. Click the sites that look like they could aid you in promoting your offer but avoid clicking everything else.
Most TE's will offer some kind of incentive to sign up with them, free credits or banner impressions or the like and these can be excellent when you are starting out. Most TE's will also require you to surf a certain number of pages before they fully activate your account and put your site in front of their customers - this is to protect them from people who just sign up for the free credits but do not become active members of their communities.
Ok, that is what TE's are about, now for my tips on using them:
Firstly I reccomend creating a new email account with google that you can use purely for your TE work and any offers you may sign up to, I average more than 300 emails a day from safelists and TE's alone and you will not want them cluttering up your personal inbox!
Next, I suggest you join Traffic Hoopla and Affiliate Funnel These two sites rank the top performing TE's (using different criteria) so they should give you a good idea which TE's are being used the most and which ones are under performing. Since the name of the game is to get your offer seen by as many people as possible you want to be a member of the top TE's in each list.
Traffic Hoopla use an independent service to rate the exchanges based on usage and responses.
Affiliate Funnel rates the TE's based on the votes of the people who actualy use them, people like you and me. Now that sounds great but a small exchange of active users can easily rank higher than a big exchange if its users are less active.
So now you have joined a group of exchanges, how do you surf them? I recommend you use Mozilla FireFox because it is designed and works better with tabbed browsing.
Next you want to download a couple of add-ons for FireFox, first you will want NoScript this protects your machine against malicious code while you surf and is excellent.
Tab Mix Plus is the next one. This enhances the tabbed browsing features of FireFox even more.
Once you have downloaded and installed these add-ons you need to start FireFox. Now open each of your chosen TE's in its own "Tab" I generaly surf 5 or 6 at a time but you can easily surf 10 TE's at a time using this method. Log-in to all the TE's, launch the surfing function of all of them ... then...
Click on "Tools"....upper left corner of Firefox
Click on "Tab Mix Plus Options"
Click on "EVENTS"
Click on "Tab Features"
Click in the "tic" box that says "Pressing F8 rotates tabs every _ seconds"
and set the adjustable timer to 5 (seconds)...then click on "OK"...
Then press the F8 key......your browser now rotates Tabs every 5 seconds!
Press F8 again to stop it from rotating.
So now you don't have to click on the next tab or hit CTRL + TAB to advance
to the next Tab (TE)...it does it automatically!
You can vary the timing to what ever works for you. I use an older PC and, as I said, I surf 5 or 6 exchanges at a time with a 5 second Tab rotator. This is long enough to see if any bonuses are on the current page before just clicking for the next site.
The purpose of surfing is to maximise the number of hits you earn. You want to achieve your 200 hits per day as quickly as possible (or your 1400 per week.) To this end, I surf combinations of exchanges that operate together and "pay" you a dividend to surf them together, usualy as extra credits or banner and text credits so, to that end, I surf:
Traffic-Splash
Startxchange
IloveHits
DragonSurf
TezakTrafficPower
Surfing these together earns 10%-20% extra credits each time.
HitSafari
Soaring4Traffic
RealHitz4U
This is Power Surf Central you get daily, weekly and Monthly bonuses for surfing these together.
BlueSurf
RoyalSurf
TrafficWitch
This is the Elite Surf Club and you earn extra bonuses for surfing these together too.
Now these next tips are from our fabulous Team Leader, Didi and they are vital to your success so pay heed and ACT on them:
SURFING TIPS
TIP 01: Time Spent Surfing
Some people do little or no surfing on the Traffic Exchanges and wonder why they are not getting anywhere. Set yourself a target to surf between one and two hours hour each day and those credits will soon build up.
TIP 02: Consider Upgrading your Membership
Traffic Exchanges offer many benefits for upgraded users such as a credits pack and higher surf ratio. The credits will be added to your account every month and save you a lot of time earning them. Upgrading costs a monthly fee and the price varies
between each exchange.
TIP 03: Purchase Credits
If you want more visitors in a shorter time then you should considering purchasing credits instead of earning them. This will save you hours of surfing and prices are quite cheap starting at 2000 credits for only $10 in some exchanges.
TIP 04: Build a Downline
Traffic Exchanges, like affiliate programs, allow you to build a downline and provide the tools to do it. Building a downline team gives you extra credits when they surf and commission if they purchase credits.
TIP 05: Regularly Assign Credits and set Auto-Assign
Some exchanges allow you to set a percentage of credits you want to add to your URLs. A setting of 100% will automatically assign all earned credits to one URL. If you have two URLS you could set the auto-assign to 50% for each one.
Some exchanges require you to manually assign your credits. I recommend you do this after each surfing session to make sure you are getting the benefit. If you win or earn extra credits while surfing, they must be assigned manually.
Finally, these TE's do not allow you to use rotators (Your Team Atlantis Link is a rotator which contains 5 different "splashpages") If any of these are your favourites you can contact Didi and she will give you an alternate link to advertise for these.
Revenue Magic
Grade A Traffic
Astrology Surf
Wealth Spring
TEra
Hit Toad does not allow free members to use rotators. If you find any more TE's that don't like rotators or any other TE's that you want to recomend, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
If you contact Didi directly she will send you a list of her favourite exchanges and you can sign up to them and surf too. Didi can be contacted here: oceanswellatlantis@gmail.com
Congratulations on joining the team, Give yourself a year to really reap the rewards, you will likely see results in about 3-4 months but patience is a virtue and if you give each new thing you try a year before moving on to the next thing you will enjoy much greater success. If you flit from thing to thing you settle on none and likely fail at all!
Come back frequently and check for updates and I will try to add new things as and when I can, now I'm off to surf!!
Cheers
Neil
